Irina Knaster
Irina Knaster is the Founder and Artistic Director of Aspect Chamber Music Series, a non-profit organization established in London in 2011 and expanded to New York in 2016. With degrees in Piano Performance, English Literature, and Law, she later acquired a Master’s in History of Art. Her studies in this field led to her developing Music in Context, a novel concert format in which every work performed is explored through the prism of the art, history, literature, and ideas and philosophies of its time. With its blend of performance and illustrated lecture, Aspect Chamber Music series has become a much-respected institution on the New York classical scene. Irina has been a huge fan of Krymov’s work for 15 years, since she saw his work in Moscow and then his iconic Opus No. 7 at the Barbican in London.
