Inna Krymova

Began as a researcher at the State Institute of Arts in Moscow in the Sociology of Art department, specializing in social psychology, social economy and issues relating to the work of stage designers. She served as Chief Expert at the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation, introducing the concept of stage design copyright into Russian professional theatre practice. In 1990 she created a concept for the first art market in Russia, which led to the creation of the Moscow International Art Fair, "ART MIF.” The Fair attracted contemporary artists from all over Russia. She then established the Moscow Cultural Foundation under the same name - ART MIF - and served for many years as its CEO, hosting major cultural exchanges with such cities as Jerusalem, Frankfurt, and Los Angeles, as well as several large exhibitions, including Sotheby's Charity Auction Dinner, "A Dedication to Shostakovich" on the composer's 90th birthday, and the Moscow-Berlin Exhibition at the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow. Ms. Krymova also served as a co-producer of the award-winning documentary film “Mondo Moscow, The Art of Not Being There,” directed by Peter Vronski. In 2004 the Dmitry Krymov Lab was established.

Since then Ms. Krymova has been its producer, while continuing to write and publish. Among her many publications are Eduard Steinberg. An Attempt at a Monograph, a joint publication by Editions D'en Haut La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland) and ART-MIF Moscow; the consolidated English-Russian catalog of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts: Catalogue of Painting; and a history of the Dmitry Krymov Lab by Victor Berezkin: Dmitry Krymov:
